NCSE's deputy director Glenn Branch contributed "All Aboard the Evolution Bus!" (PDF) to the February 2020 issue of The American Biology Teacher, published by the National Association of Biology Teachers.
Branch's column focused on NABT's recently updated statement on the teaching of evolution, which he described as important as a signal that NABT "is wholeheartedly committed to the central role of evolution in biology education." Such a signal is important, he argued, not only to teachers pressured to compromise their teaching of evolution, but also to teachers who misguidedly present creationist perspectives and to teachers who downplay the scope, importance, or soundness of evolution.
The whole issue of The American Biology Teacher in which "All Aboard the Evolution Bus!" appears is devoted, as usual for the February issue, to evolution, and the contents of the issue are freely available.
