Released in 2008, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed purported to be a "documentary" about unfair treatment of "intelligent design" promoters by the mainstream scientific community. Featuring actor and economist Ben Stein, movie tried to make the case that the scientific community is unwilling to listen to evidence for intelligent design, to the extent that ID proponents have lost their jobs or otherwise been punished for their views.NCSE investigated the main claims made by the movie, and found that they were baseless.
