Today in Oakland we actually got hit by what is becoming a rare occurrence around here—rain. The streets are flooded, my garden is blooming, and people are running through the streets screaming "I'm melting! I'm melting!"...Californians, you know?
So in the spirit of feeling underwater, I present a fossil from an animal who lived underwater. This one comes from the Eocene, and had a chomper that could take a serious bite out of other Eocene swimmers. Who was it? Where was the fossil found?
