Last week on Fossil Friday, I posted a picture of a tibia from the Cretaceous. My question was: who does this tibia belong to?
There were a lot of good guesses. (A titanosaur was definitely my favorite.) But the correct answer came from hubcap747 (good name!). It was a hadrosaur!
Accordinig to the UC Museum of Palentology, "'duckbilled dinosaurs' were common in the Upper Cretaceous of Europe, Asia, and North America. They were members of the Ornithopoda, and close relatives and possibly descendants of the earlier iguanodontid dinosaurs.”
