The 5th Assessment Report of the IPCC report is finally out! Or at least the Summary for Policymakers is out, and this is the part that teachers are going to want to use. This summary has oodles of pictures, figures and detailed information about the state of climate change, as well as predictions for the future.
The IPCC took 259 authors from 39 countries and over 54,000 comments. We at NCSE are as excited as you are about this new report; the hard work of all those researchers, the compilation of all that great science, and the implications for using it in classrooms starting this fall.
We’ll be live-blogging our read through the report today. As we find good tidbits of knowledge, connections to state standards, and good activities that could go along with it, we’ll be posting our comments on line.
