NCSE launches #ClimateEdNow campaign in advance of Earth Day

In advance of Earth Day — April 22, 2022 — NCSE is drawing attention to the critical importance of teaching climate change in our nation's schools.

As part of its #ClimateEdNow campaign, NCSE asked scientists, educators, authors, and science fans to write brief essays about the critical importance of honest, effective, and immediate climate change education.

Already posted are contributions by:

• Ben Santer, a climate scientist and a member of NCSE's board of directors
• Ann Reid, NCSE Executive Director
• Spencer Weart, a historian of climate science
• Richard Alley, a climate scientist at Penn State
• John Cook, the author of Cranky Uncle vs. Climate Change
• Don Haas of the Paleontological Research Institute
• NCSE Teacher Ambassador David Amidon
• Bernadette Woods Placky of Climate Central
• John Abraham, a climate scientist at the University of St. Thomas

And over a dozen additional essays will be posted as Earth Day approaches.
