NCSE's executive director Ann Reid — and her dog Buster — appeared on the Christian Science Monitor's podcast Perception Gaps (December 17, 2018). In the interview (transcript), Reid discussed the nature of education in general and obstacles to the teaching of evolution in particular. Observing that rejection of evolution is generally motivated by religious attitudes, Reid commented that NCSE's hope is "for the students to resolve that fundamental conflict that's preventing them from accepting the science." Reid appeared on the tenth, and final, installment of the Perception Gap series, hosted by Samantha Laine Perfas.
