A new report from the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication offers new data on American registered voters' views on a variety of domestic climate and energy policies — and a large majority, 78%, agree that schools should teach about the causes, consequences, and potential solutions to global warming.
Support for climate change education "spans the political spectrum, including nearly all liberal and moderate/conservative Democrats (97% and 94% respectively), large majorities of Independents (72% ...) and liberal/moderate Republicans (78%), and more than four in ten conservative Republicans (46%)."
The results are "based on a nationally representative survey of 1,006 American adults, aged 18 and older"; results were reported for the 898 registered voters among them. The survey was conducted September 10-20, 2021. "All questionnaires were self-administered by respondents in a web-based environment."
