Dr. Eugenie C. Scott, Executive Director of NCSE, was awarded the California Science Teachers Association Margaret Nicholson Distinguished Service Award at the CSTA's annual meeting in San Francisco on October 25, 2002. The CSTA's highest honor, the citation commemorates Scott "in recognition of your many contributions to science education, your leadership and service, and your positive impact on the quality of science teaching in California." The late Margaret Nicholson was a much beloved and respected California science teacher who contributed much to the establishment and organization of CSTA. Congratulations to Dr. Scott on this most deserved award!
