Michael E. Mann of Pennsylvania State University and Benjamin D. Santer of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, both members of NCSE's board of directors, were recently honored by the American Geophysical Union's Global Environmental Change Section, according to Eos (September 30, 2020). Mann was invited to give the Steven Schneider Lecture at the AGU Fall Meeting in 2020 in recognition of his outstanding scientific accomplishments in global environmental change and in communicating scientific results to the public. Santer was honored with the Bert Bolin Award, which recognizes groundbreaking research or leadership in global environmental change through cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary research, and invited to give the Bert Bolin Lecture at the AGU Fall Meeting in 2020.
