NCSE is pleased to welcome Blake Touchet as a new Teacher Support Partnership Specialist in the Supporting Teachers program. A former classroom teacher and Science Master Teacher in Louisiana, Touchet earned a B.S. in secondary biology education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a M.S. in biology from Mississippi State University, and is about to complete his Ed.D. in educational leadership, concentrating in curriculum, at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. As a former NCSE Teacher Ambassador he is familiar with the Supporting Teachers program, in which he will now be serving as mentor to teachers working with NCSE as well as helping to develop and nurture relationships with local school districts, assisting with developing curriculum, and aiding the Catalyzing Action program as needed.
