Supporting Community Engagement and Effective Science Communication
We have discontinued the Breaking Down Barriers program but will continue to make available its web resources. If you have questions, please email us.
Bring fun, engaging, hands-on climate change and evolution activities to your community. Whether you’re still in school, someone who simply wants to make a difference, or curious to learn more about climate change and evolution yourself, we have a way to get involved.
Our graduate Student Fellowship prepares next-generation scientists to design and lead activities meant to help anyone in their community see that they, too, can engage with evidence about climate change and evolution.
Applications for the 2020 Graduate Student Fellowship are closed.
Our activities are field-tested for fun, inquiry-driven learning. All activity resources are available online, free of charge, and include how-to videos as well as resource lists.
We are currently beta-testing immersive-experience games across the San Francisco Bay Area and plan to roll out a national launch in 2020. So stay tuned!
